Things I have changed during quarantine
November 20, 2020
During quarantine, i changed a lot of things. Some of them make a major changes. Some of them.. meh, only for fun.
Obviously, as you guys know from my previous entry, i changed my shelf and workspace decor. but i honestly did much changes than just my shelfs and decor!
Okay, so the first one on the list we have, my hairstyle!
I grew up as that long-haired girl people always remember. Not that extreme, but definetely LONG. In grade 8, i decided to cut it short SHORT. Well... i can say i regret that. Maybe that hairdresser i came to was not swift of my straight in the top wavy in the middle-bottom hair but he really messed it up at the point i did not want to cut my hair that short again. I never grew my hair long again, but i did not go that short again. I kept it on my shoulder level... but not until quarantine.
Listen, its quarantine anyway. If this goes bad then okay, its not like i will met a lot of people. So with my impulsive mind, i did it, by myself...
Goes bad, classic. So i go into salon and fixed it. Unexpectedly, it is waaay more better. Even though it become so short (it is lower-ear level), it looooks so good on me! This hairdresser definetely had sumn!
Firstly, i change my facewash.
I never really settled to one brand of facewash. It has always change. I previously use safi because when i went to guardian, they said its a good face wash for oily skin. But now that i come to realization that i have a combination skin. I search for another facewash. Besides, safi is too expensive lmao.
But honestly, i did not really feel the difference. So does my previous facewash. I can totally say i change facewash based on what popular and my mood ((take notes, this is NOT a good example! im just lucky that these various face wash did not effect my skin negatively, but it did effect some people negatively so, know your skin, everyone!))
Secondly, my micellar water.
Ok, honestly i have been using garnier since the first time i applied skincare routine. But i usually use the blue one. Turns out, the yellow one with oil is more effective for my daily use. So this quarantine, i changed it. And it cleans my eyes and brows well. I don't need seperate micellar water anymore.
Thirdly, toner!
I'll be honest here, i stopped wearing toner for 3 months before i bought this. i am a lazy person but i'm not doing this because i am lazy. So my face is having a reaaalllyyy bad breakout and i tried a lot of skincares to cure that. I even tried snail truecica by Somebymi but it still did not work out. I figured it out the best way to cure it to stop all of my skincares. Because even though it is a care, it still an active ingredients. i still wash my face two times daily, though.
It did works out! My face is getting clearer but the breakouts leave some spots. I asked my friends if perhaps they have a solution, most of them recommends me somebymi snail truecica and thebodyshop tea tree oil. i tried all of somebymi snail truecica set, but it doesnt effect positively on me. I decided to try the body shop tea tree oil, i came to buy the serum because everyone said its effective, but its too expensive for me. but i dont have any acnes left, maybe in the future but in the mean time, i think im good enough with the toner only. So far it effect positively on me!
The fourth one is added not changed, Ponds oil balm!
Usually my cleansing steps is micellar water, and straight away i washed it with facewash. Turns out micellar water does not counted as double cleansing. I searched for any cleansing oil but its too expensive AND hard to find. At that time ponds is releasing this cleansing balm and it so easy to find! You can find it in your nearest Watsons! It did cost pricey, though! But i use it for 4 months-ish(?) before all used. So worth the price!
Moving on to my fourth changes within quarantine, is salt!
Honestly, this is the best ""salt"" i have ever tasted. Despite being pink, this salt tastes so decent! This salt even taste better than MSG like ajinomoto or royco.
(not sponsored thats why i named its brand without censor, lol. but perhaps if ajinomoto or royco wants to sponsor me, my email is on my profile! :p)
change it because my grandma is living with us for a while. so we need healthy alternative for the salt since she cant use it very much. this salt is a very good alternative on the usual salt. its healthy and taste good! but the bad sides is, its expensive...
if you're searching for an alternative to a healthy life, this is so recommended. but remember, you need to cost it price. nevertheless, health is number one, right?
and the fifth aaand the last (for now) is bread!
i don't really like sweets, but i do eat bread for breakfast. its either a plain bread, or a salty sandwich, oh and maybe toast with smoked beef!
recently, im on weight-loss program. but i can't bear not eating breakfast. i tried to only eat protein for breakfast for a week. that doesnt feel right for me. i grew up with carbohydrate. I !! NEED !! THAT !! SHIT !! DAILY !!
one my friend told me wheat bread is a good alternative for weight loss. it's healthier, low-calories and make you full for a longer time. so i went and tried it! even though is not satisfy me enough as rice did, but it did make me full for a longer period than a normal bread. definetely a game changing!
and so far, that's it!
do you guys change something too during quarantine? if yes, what is it?
anyway, until then, stay healthy, safe and sound!
best regards,
c.
ps. do u notice my new labels, 'CCLog'?
basically, i made a new whole labels just for the things i did / experiece during quarantine. Its an acronym for Clarissa Covid Log. So if we all passes through this pandemic, i can looking back and see what did i experience and decided to write during these times?
